John KayJohn Kay was a contemporary and good friend of J.C. Philpot and William Tiptaft. William Tiptaft had him stay with him in his house for about 14 years because he also seceded from the church of England and had no where else to go. He used to write for The Gospel Standard and would sign his name just as "J.K. Abingdon".
